“This isn’t like I thought it would be. I should have saved them. Send me in alone; I'll get it done."

You pilot a giant robot suit, equipped for war, or smuggling, or construction on the dangerous and untamed rim of the galaxy.

Sonata in Zero G is a solo mech drawing RPG that fits on a 5.5 x 4.25 inch postcard. It's a game about bodies and the way they break down and change. Every time you play, you'll imagine how your pilot's mission plays out, then draw the scars it leaves on your mech's body.

Although the game comes with a starting mech to draw on, you can always create your own, or image-search "gundam coloring page" and pick whichever one appeals to you.

This is so concise and beautiful. It is everything it needs to be on the front and back of a postcard. I already printed out postcards to send to some friends! Today I played a game of it before breakfast. What a way to start the day!
I used red to draw changes through external causes, blue to draw changes in equipment motivated by the story, and yellow to mark changes in the pilots conviction.

My mech pilot realized too late that he was part of an oppressive force. He tried to make up for his crimes of the past by rescuing a loved one who had joined the resistance, but got captured during the attempt to free them.

Thank you for this beautiful little game Anna!

Beautiful. It's simple and clean and pure. And then you can send the postcard like a distillation of your story, let someone else piece it together like some artefact or fragment of history. I really love that the most.

It's really funny that this comes out right during mechjam IV, I thought it was your entry for a hot minute 😆 Now that would be some guest star!

Thanks for the treat ✨
