Welcome back to Thaumaturge! Today's draw:

Dear Grimoire:
Sorry I haven't written in a few days. I've been trying to keep moving. When I sit for too long, my shadow breaks a branch off the shade of a nearby tree and begins to sharpen it. I'm worried about what it might do if I get too close to another person.
I had a dream the other night. In it, I returned to the Library. I cracked their walls with grasping roots, I threw down the old tower that holds Master Ramos' study, and I set all their books ablaze like they burned that library in the woods long ago, like they were going to burn you, Grimoire.
I am scared of this dream. And I am scared, I think, of you. I have been treating you– I have been treating this book like it is a friend. But this book is a tool, or perhaps even a weapon. It is maybe about time I start thinking of it as such.
My shadow is getting restless, swinging at the air– whether at the shadow of some creature too small to see or merely for the sake of swinging his blade, I am not sure. I should carry on.
